BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Triston Engle of the College at Brockport wrestling team has been named the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) Co-Wrestler of the Week for the week ending January 28, 2018. This is the second time this season that the No. 9 ranked wrestler has been honored by the conference, having also received Wrestler of the Week honors in November.
 
Engle was dominant for the Brockport wrestling team throughout the week, going 4-0 and helping lead the Golden Eagles to three more wins. He pinned two of his four opponents, including an opening round pin against Alfred State on Tuesday en route to a 46-5 win.
 
The junior is now 25-3 on the year, and has won by either fall or technical fall in 19 of those 25 victories. After a fourth place finish at least year's National Tournament, Engle will look to improve on that result in pursuit of a national title.
 
The Brockport wrestling team will be back in action this Saturday when they travel to Berea, Ohio for the annual John Summa Invitational hosted by Baldwin Wallace.
