Master’s Degree: Health Education ’90
Four-year member of both the track & field and football teams; school record holder for both weight throw and hammer throw; two-time national qualifier for the hammer throw; Division III All-American as an offensive lineman for football; also earned All-ECAC honors for football; All-SUNYAC and All-ECAC selection for Track & Field; coached Brockport’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams from 1992 to 2002; coached 44 SUNYAC Champions, 29 State Champions, 11 National Qualifiers and three Division III All-Americans including current Golden Eagle Athletic Hall of Famers Karen Shay and Carrie Gorton.
Ranked as high as #23 in the country for Olympic weightlifting; named the 1987 Section V Class D Wrestling Coach of the Year; named the 1990 Greater Rochester Wrestling Coach of the Year; two-time PTA Educator of the Year at Lyndonville.
Has worked as a Health Educator at Lyndonville Central School since 1985; acted as adjunct professor for Health Science and Athletics for The College at Brockport and as a regional summer school educator for the Orleans-Niagara BOCES; continued a track & field career with Empire State Games competition and Olympic-level weightlifting after graduation from Brockport; recognized for achievement as a wrestling coach at Lyndonville as well as coaching at several local camps and clinics for track & field.
