Coached men's varsity basketball for 17 seasons, 1947-64; compiled a 180-137 record; won more games than any other basketball coach in Brockport history; coached junior varsity men's soccer, 1947-64; credited with molding several of Brockport's soccer All-Americans.

Author of the book Modern Coaching Psychology; served as chairman of the American School Health Nutrition Committee in 1963.

Navy carrier pilot in World War II; was a lieutenant; elder of the Brockport Presbyterian Church.
