Head women’s volleyball coach at the College from 1985 to 1995; posted a 377-151 record for a .714 winning percentage and the most wins by any coach in any sport in school history;  during those 11 seasons, took the Golden Eagles to six consecutive NCAA Division III tournaments (1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994); also coached Brockport to five overall SUNYAC Championships (1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994) and 10 SUNYAC Western Division titles, including the last nine years of his coaching reign; was named SUNYAC Coach of the Year three times (1989, 1990 and 1992); coached five American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III All-Americans, 12 All-Northeast selections, 12 New York State All-Tournament picks; 15 All-SUNYAC choices and 31 SUNYAC All-Tournament members; coached one Academic All-American.
 
Has been employed at Brockport since 1979, from research associate/visiting assistant professor (1979-86), to assistant professor (1986-89), to associate professor (1989-2001), to professor (2001-04), all in Physical Education and Sport; served as department chair for 12 years (1989-94; 1996-2003); after a year out of administration and back in the classroom as a professor, was named Dean of the School of Arts and Performance (2004) and continues today as Dean of the re-named and re-structured School of Health and Human Performance.
 
Was an All-East volleyball player his last two years at Springfield and helped his team to the NCAA Tournament as a junior.
