Excelled in football, track and field (pole vault, javelin); served as student athletic trainer for Oberlin College basketball and track teams.
Joined SUNY College at Brockport faculty in 1945. Coached football, basketball, gymnastics, diving, baseball. Chairperson, men's physical education (1945 -1964); athletic director (1945 - 1955); chairperson, Department of Recreation and Leisure (1967 - 1973). Retired 1977. Director, 1979 International Summer Special Olympics. Director, 1984 New York State Senior Games, Western Region, at SUNY College at Brockport.
