Transferred to Brockport from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, and played one season of softball, helping team to a State Championship in 1986; set a school record with five hits in a game in the State Championship victory over Albany; earned All-SUNYAC honors.

Returned to Brockport as an instructor in the Department of Physical Education and as the head coach of both the softball and basketball teams; won the 1993 SUNYAC Championship for softball, advancing to the NCAA Tournament, and was named the 1993 SUNYAC Coach of the Year for both basketball and softball – the only coach to earn the honor for two different sports in the same year; won SUNYAC Championship again in 1994 and won State Championship in 1996; SUNYAC Coach of the Year for basketball again in 1997, 2005 and 2008; led basketball to SUNYAC Championships in 2003, 2005 and 2008; coached the first-ever NCAA Tournament win for women’s basketball with a win over Emmanuel College in 2008; coached five of Brockport’s six All-American basketball players and 33 All-SUNYAC selections.

Led the Brockport women’s basketball team for four consecutive NCAA Champs/Life Skills annual awards (2004-08) honoring academic, community service and leadership training success.
