Director of Athletics and coach of soccer, basketball, and baseball, Hammond Central School, 1954-56. Director of Athletics, Fredonia State College, 1968-85. Started soccer program, coached basketball, and tennis for Blue Devils.

First full-time commisioner of the SUNYAC, 1985-present. Served as part-time SUNYAC commisioner, SUNYAC president, President of Intercollegiate Soccer Association of America. Originated soccer rating system for college soccer, 1969. Served as captain in the U.S. Naval Reserves, 36 years.
