Undergraduate Major: Health & Physical Education ’64
Standout three-sport performer at the College in the early 1960s; considered by many experts from that era to be one of the outstanding overall student-athletes the College produced during that generation; played four years of football as a running back and defensive back; excelled on the track and field team for four years as well, serving as captain as a junior and senior; competed for one season in the first year of the wrestling program at the College; received the 1964 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) award for Scholarship and Athletic Prowess.
Was a Dean’s List student seven of eight semesters; also was a Resident Assistant as a senior; was the Varsity Club secretary and the P.E. Majors Club vice president; was the Student Athletic Coordinator to the Student Faculty Association; named to Who’s Who Among Students in Universities and Colleges and was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi honor society in Education.
Had a distinguished 33-year career in the Fairport Central School District as a physical education teacher and coach at the junior high and high school levels; coached the varsity wrestling team (29 years) to two Sectional and three Divisional titles; also coached football and track and field.
