Four-year varsity football player with the Golden Eagles; two-year captain (junior and senior years); team MVP once (1990) and defensive player of the year twice (1989 and 1991); All-American as a junior and senior; ECAC Upstate NY All-Star as a sophomore, junior, and senior; numerous ECAC weekly awards; still holds career record for tackles (399) and tied for record for tackles in a season (150); led team in tackles for final three years; holds three other records for unassisted tackles in a season (78), assisted tackles in a career (211), and forced fumbles in a season (5).

Varsity Club president in 1991; participated in ''Brockport Athletes for a Winning Attitude'' program with Brockport Central School District; volunteer for NYS Games for the Physically Challenged; court justice on the BSG Disciplinary Board.

Upon graduation, served as a U.S. Army Officer (1st Lieutenant) in the Medical Service Corp; U.S. Paratrooper; National Defense Ribbon; two meritorious Service medals and two Army Achievement medals; earned coveted Expert Field Medical Badge; employed as Sales & Marketing Manager at Donovan Enterprises (Stuart, FL) before moving to Randall Manufacturing in 2001.
