The 35th Annual Bob Boozer Golden Eagle Open and the Richard V. Mancuso Post Tournament Dinner concluded with another successful turnout this year, playing host to over 100 golfers. The tournament, played at the Deerfield Country Club, took place on Friday, May 18.

Greg Dunne, and Brockport Director of Alumni Relations Kerry Gotham took home the men's championship. Rosie Rich, Ellen Sinkulet, Anne Ireland, and Provost Anne Huot were the top women's foursome while James Cook, Connie Graves, Jerry Fisk and David Mancuso were the top mixed foursome.

Joan Schockow had the longest drive on the front nine. Dick Boardman won the men's closest to the pin. Steve Mahoney won the men's longest drive on the front nine while Jeremy Carnes won the longest drive on the back nine.
Robert Ellsworth “Bob” Boozer was the first coach of the Brockport football team, beginning in 1947. The Golden Eagles football field was dedicated to Boozer on Homecoming Weekend in 2002. The annual golf tournament, which has been held in honor of Boozer every year since 1977, aims to raise money for Brockport's athletic program. Boozer passed away on Oct. 1, 2006 at the age of 94.
Dr. Richard V. Mancuso, who the post-tournament reception and dinner is named after, was a former associate professor of physics and longtime chair of the department. Mancuso, an avid golfer, passed away on Dec. 15, 2009. A beloved member of the Brockport community, Mancuso established a scholarship for undergraduates studying physics in 1982 and has been awarded every year since.
