Sarah Brown to Play in North-South Game

The senior tallied a career-high 77 points on the year while breaking two school records

Sarah Brown will represent the Brockport women's lacrosse team at the annual IWLCA North-South Senior Game
Sarah Brown (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) of The College at Brockport women's lacrosse team has been selected to play in the 2013 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) North-South Senior game. Brown will represent the Golden Eagles for the second consecutive year after Dayna Piraino was selected to participate last year.

Brown was one of six State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) chosen to the north squad. The 2013 game will take place at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 26 at Cabrini College located in Radnor, PA.

Brown produced a standout season for Brockport in 2013. The senior became the all-time leader in both single season and career assists while tying the school record with eight assists in one game. Brown finished her four-year career as Golden Eagle with 259 points, second most in program history.

Brown finished the year with a career-high 77 points on 24 goals and 53 assists. Brown produced a career-high 11 points in a 19-9 win over Stevens on March 23, posting three goals on eight assists. Brown totaled at least four points in a game 11 times on the year.

The Golden Eagles advanced to the semifinal round of the SUNYAC Tournament after defeating Oneonta in the opening round. Brockport fell to eventual SUNYAC champion and NCAA semifinalist Cortland. The Golden Eagles posted a record of 12-6 on the year.
