Junior Paul Glover (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week following Brockport’s first-place finish at the Virginia Duals on Friday and Saturday. Glover went 3-0 in the 197 lb. weight class.

Glover opened up on Friday with a 6-4 decision over Greg Pattis from St. Andrews University as Brockport went on to win 31-6. Glover then scored another decision over Daniel Polaski from Central Florida in the second round of the duals. The Golden Eagles won 34-9.

In the championship match against Nassau Community College, Brockport was trailing 17-15 before Glover scored a pin at 2:13 to earn six points and a 21-17 lead for Brockport. After an escape, Glover made a quick takedown move and quickly forced his opponent to his back and finished the match less than five seconds later.

Glover’s pin proved to be the clincher for Brockport as Nassau scored three points in a decision in the final meet, but the Golden Eagles prevailed with a 21-20 victory.
