Senior Taylor Wierzba (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week following the women’s gymnastics record-setting day as the Golden Eagles defeated Wilson College and Rhode Island College on Senior Day.

The Golden Eagles scored a school-record 190.800 to win the meet. Wierzba competed on the balance beam and the floor to help lead Brockport to the school’s best mark. Wierzba had a season-high 9.600 on the beam and also scored a 9.700 on the floor exercise. Wierzba has been nationally ranked in the floor exercise all year long.

With the win, the Golden Eagles moved back into the No. 1 ranking in Division III Gymnastics. Brockport now heads to the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) at Ithaca College on Saturday, March 10. Brockport hosts the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championships on March 23-24.
