Junior James Bardenett (Syracuse, NY/Henninger) of the men’s baseball team went 2-0 over the week and has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week.

Bardenett got wins against Fredonia State and Medaille College to improve his record to 8-2 on the year. In 13 innings of work, Bardenett gave up one earned run to lower his earned run average to 2.63 this season. The junior had 12 strikeouts and issued just two walks.

Against Fredonia State, Bardenett went six innings and allowed just one earned run on five hits while striking out seven Blue Devils to earn the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) win. Against Medaille, Bardenett tossed his first complete game of the season. Bardenett allowed just three hits and struck out five in a 6-0 victory.
