Caitlin Moeller (Kingston, NY/Onteora) has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week after a strong performance at the Deneault Memorial Invitational on Saturday, hosted by Cornell University.
Moeller finished sixth overall in the women’s 800 meter run, but was the second Division III runner to place. The junior finished with an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying time of 2:19.84.
The junior also ran the final leg of the women’s 4x800 meter relay to help the Brockport women finish first overall in the event. Moeller teamed up with Britta Januszkiewicz (New Paltz, NY/New Paltz), Rachel Malone (Fairport, NY/Fairport) and Violet Yox (Brockport, NY/Brockport) to record a time of 9:48.17.
Next up for the Golden Eagles is the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships hosted by Brockport at the Special Events Recreation Center on Feb. 23 at 10:00 am.
