Senior Zach Ferrara (Rochester, NY/Irondequoit) won the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Indoor Pole Vault Championship on Saturday and has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week.

Competing at the Special Events Recreation Center (SERC), Ferrara cleared a height of 4.70 meters (15’ 5”) to repeat as the SUNYAC Champion. Ferrara won the 2012 SUNYAC Indoor Championship with a height of 5.0 meters (16’ 4 ¾”).

Ferrara’s score helped lead the Golden eagles to a third place finish, totaling 91 points. Oneonta claimed the overall championship with 153 points and Cortland finished second.
