Stephanie Schuler (Purcellville, VA/Hickory) became a National Champion as the sophomore scored a 9.625 on the balance beam at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) National Championship on Saturday night hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Schuler has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week.

Competing in her first NCGA National Championship, Schuler posted the highest score in the event to claim All-American honors and become Brockport’s third national champion in the last two years.

On Friday night at the team championship, Schuler scored a 9.575 on the balance beam, the fourth highest score of the night.

Schuler and the Golden Eagles placed fourth at the team championship with a score of 185.300.
