Junior women's swimmer Melanie Melewski (New Baltimore, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) has been chosen as The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on February 2.

Melewski continued to be strong for the Golden Eagles. Despite losing as a team to a tough Fredonia team, Melewski finished Friday night with three first place finishes.

Melewski started off the meet as a part of the winning 200-yard medley relay team. The Golden Eagle foursome finished in 1:51.64, over seven seconds faster than second place.

In the 200-yard IM, Melewski finished in first with a time of 2:15.54. Her time of 2:26.97 in the 200-yard breaststroke was her third win of the nights, taking first by nearly six seconds.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday for their final meet before conference championships. Brockport takes on Geneseo at the Geneseo Invitational starting at 12 pm.
