Senior Rachel Lamont (Bloomfield, NY/Honeoye) has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week after leading the women’s tennis team to a pair of victories for the week ending September 8. Behind the stellar play of Lamont the Golden Eagles defeated Fredonia 9-0 and Alfred University 6-3, to remain undefeated on the year.

Lamont teamed with fellow senior Lauren Bohman (Sayville, NY/Sayville) to defeat their Fredonia counterparts 8-4 and an exciting 9-8 victory over Alfred at No. 1 doubles for Brockport (3-0).

Lamont dominated her singles matches against Fredonia winning 6-0 and 6-1. She was also able to pull out the win in a closer match against Alfred winning 6-4 and 6-2. This is the second year in a row that she has won the distinction of the Brockport Athlete of the Week.
