Senior Jaime Snyder (Elmira, NY/Thomas Edison) has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week, for the week ending September 15, after leading the Volleyball team through a perfect 3-0 weekend at the RIT Tournament. On the season, Snyder has consistently led the team in the defensive statistic of digs and this weekend was no different. On the weekend, she tallied 67 digs to lead the team to victories over Keuka, St. John Fisher and Medaille.
Snyder, the defensive wizard plays the libero position which is designated for players who excel in defense. Her best match of the weekend came against Keuka. She totaled 27 digs while also adding two service aces and two assists.
Overall the Golden Eagles won nine of their 10 games this weekend for a perfect 3-0 match record. Snyder helped improve the teams record to 6-4 on the season and as a result of her strong play this weekend was named to the All-Tournament Team. This is the second year in a row that Snyder has earned the RIT All-Tournament Team honor.
The Golden Eagles return to action this homecoming weekend for three matches. This Friday at 6 pm will be a match against Alfred.
