Senior libero Jaime Snyder (Elmira, NY/Thomas Edison) has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 10. Snyder helped lead the volleyball team to the State University of New York Athletic Conference Semifinals this past weekend.

Brockport clinched a spot in the SUNYAC Tournament earlier this year for the first time since 2009. In the quarterfinal game against Oswego this past Friday, Snyder held the team together with some extremely clutch digs in a back and forth match.

The Golden Eagles dominated the first set but the Lakers would not give in as they rallied. The match went to five sets as Snyder led the team with 29 digs. She also added four assists and a service ace.

In the semifinal match against tournament host and #1 seed New Paltz, Snyder contributed 20 digs in a loss. New Paltz went onto win the SUNYAC Championship against Fredonia. Snyder’s 20 digs were the most against the Hawks in the whole tournament.

Snyder was named to the All-Tournament team and finished her Golden Eagle career fourth All-Time in Brockport’s record book with 1,458 career digs. Her 644 digs this season were good for fourth All-Time in a single season, just one away from third place and only 37 away from the All-Time single season record.
