Sophomore Amy Masciale helped lead the field hockey team to a 6-3 victory Friday afternoon and has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 28.

Masciale scored four goals in Brockport’s first conference win of the season, tying a school record for most goals in a game.  Masciale started the game with high energy, tallying her first goal in the fifth minute of playing and scoring another nearly two minutes later.  Brockport took a 3-2 lead to halftime, with two of the first half goals coming from Masciale.

The sophomore tacked on two more goals in the second half, just four minutes apart.  Masciale tallied eight shots throughout the game with six of them being on goal.

Masciale and the Golden Eagles have three games this week including two conference games.  Brockport heads to Houghton College on Tuesday at 6 p.m.  The weekend road trip will take the Green and Gold to New Paltz on Friday at 4 p.m. and Oneonta Saturday at 1 p.m. for its two SUNYAC games.  Be sure to stay up to date on all your Golden Eagle scores and awards by following @BportAthletics on Twitter and by liking the “Brockport Golden Eagles” Facebook page.
