Casey Sullivan has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 12 after adding two more shutouts to his record setting tally. Brockport Men’s Soccer went 2-0 on the week as Sullivan did not allow a single goal.

This is the second time of the 2015 season that Sullivan has earned the athlete of the week honor, after previously winning Sept. 14 with two more shutouts that gave him sole possession of the career record. Sullivan now boasts 25 clean sheets in his career with eight total coming from this season.

In an important State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game against Geneseo Saturday, Sullivan proved to be up to the task with eight saves as he led Brockport to a 1-0 victory. With the win the Golden Eagles earned three conference points.

Earlier in the week Sullivan had another strong performance to push the Golden Eagles past nonconference opponent Houghton. The Highlanders entered the game with a strong record and proved to be a worthy opponent with a high level of hustle but Sullivan refused to allow anything past him with seven saves.
