Lindsay Wachna’s dominance at the plate helped The College at Brockport softball team to a 4-2 start this week.  The sophomore is batting .533 (8-for-15) including three doubles, one triple and one home run, and has yet to strike out.  Wachna led the team with eight runs batted in this week and scored two runs herself.
 
The Syracuse, N.Y.  native tabbed first home run of the season on Saturday in a 11-8 extra innings win over the University of Saint Joseph’s.  Wachna launched the ball over the fence in left center field to bring home one Golden Eagle and herself.
 
Wachna had an incredible day at the plate against Salem State University, going a perfect four-for-four with three doubles and three runs batted in.
 
Wachna and the rest of the Golden Eagles will continue to play in the Gene Cusic Classic in Lee County, Fla. until Wednesday this week.
