Haas ended his week with a record 4-0 which included three wins and a first place finish at the ECWC Championship 125-lb weight class. His performance also earned him the title of Most Outstanding Wrestler. The championship dual came against top seeded Jimmy Kaishian of Ithaca College, whom Haas beat by a 4-3 decision. Earlier in the week, Haas was dominant in his bout against Oswego’s Jack Del Duca, pinning him in 2:32 to earn six points for his team in a dual they would eventually win 35-10.
