O'Connell led a Golden Eagle defensive unit that shut out Ithaca College for the first time since 2002. The Bombers were held to 229 yards of total offense, their lowest total since week three of last season. The senior ranked third on the team with five tackles (two solo, three assisted), and recorded a timely interception deep in Brockport territory that he returned 26 yards.
