Candis Kowalik continues to be a staple for the Golden Eagles, starting her senior season right where she left off. Last week Kowalik competed in two meets, both of which she had standout performances. In the team’s dual meet against SUNY Cortland on Tuesday, she grabbed a first-place spot on the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.500 and a fourth-place finish on the vault with a 9.275. She then stepped up her game even more in this weekend’s Rhode Island College Quad meet, where she ranked in four of the five categories. The Warwick, R.I. native soared to the top, securing a first-place All-Around finish with a score of 37.975 as well as a first-place finish on the beam where she posted a 9.625. Her other top ranks came on the bars and the floor events, where she brought home a third-place finish in both.
