Junior Kaila Maguire (Potsdam, NY/Potsdam) scored a goal on Friday against Cortland, and tallied both assists on Brockport’s two goals in a 2-1 come from behind win over Oswego on Senior Day.

Maguire’s performance has earned her the distinction as Brockport’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 16.

Maguire had an important part in every Golden Eagles goal this weekend, and was instrumental in both scoring plays in Saturday’s important State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) win.

The junior midfielder helped keep the Golden Eagles in the SUNYAC playoff race. Brockport currently trails Geneseo by one point for the sixth and final spot in the postseason. The Golden Eagles have games against Potsdam and Plattsburgh on the slate in the upcoming weekend.

Maguire leads the team in scoring this season with four goals and three assists, a total of 11 points.
