Anthony Spataro

Spataro has served two seasons as an assistant coach/ recruiting coordinator at The College at Brockport (SUNY).  While at Brockport he was also responsible for team defense and worked with hitters throughout the season.  Spataro was instrumental in the development of seven all conference position players and one Brockport Freshman Student Athlete of the Year in 2017.  Prior to arriving at Brockport, Spataro served as a Student Assistant Coach at the College of Charleston in 2015, where he worked predominantly with infielders like Blake Butler, 2015 CAA Player of the Year & CAA Defensive Player of the year.  Charleston was the CAA regular season Champions and were awarded a #2 seed in the Tallahassee regional were they finished runner-up.  The Cougars finished 45-15 and won a school record 21 conference games and finished the season ranked #18 in the country.  At the conclusion of the season two position players were drafted in the 2015 MLB Draft and one player signed as a free agent.
 
During the 2016 and 2017 summers Spataro served as the head assistant coach with the PGCBL Amsterdam Mohawks.  In Amsterdam, Spataro was in charge of infielders, outfielders, and hitting, as well as serving as first base coach.  In two seasons with the Mohawks, the team went 76-29 and won the league championship in 2016.  During his seasons with the Mohawks, nine players were named to the PGCBL All-Star team, one player won PGCBL player of the year, and in 2017 one player was named the top prospect in the PGCBL. 
 
Spataro also served in many capacities with his community baseball program in Niskayuna, NY.  Of note, he was the youngest coach in Babe Ruth World Series history at 19 years old.
 
Spataro is a 2016 graduate of The College at Brockport (SUNY) with a degree in Kinesiology and is finishing his graduate studies in Athletic Administration.
