Walking into the newly rededicated Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium, the proud and storied tradition of The College at Brockport athletics is on display. From the championship banners commemorating Brockport's numerous NCAA Division III titles and State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) titles to the five full-size basketball courts inside the gymnasium, the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium is always buzzing with Brockport activity.
Brockport's men's and women's basketball teams, the women's volleyball team, as well as the prestigious wrestling program, call the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium home. The facility, the main gymnasium in the Tuttle North complex, was renamed on Nov. 23, 2010, in honor of the twin brothers who were star basketball players for the Golden Eagles in the early 1990s. Both Vlogianitis brothers were inducted into the Golden Eagle Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008.
Featuring ample spectator seating, the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium is sure to provide Golden Eagle athletics with a home-court advantage for years to come.
Brockport has won five national team wrestling titles and produced more than 130 All-Americans in its history while both the men's and women's basketball teams claimed SUNYAC championships in the 2008-09 season.
