In their final tune-up before the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) championships, The College at Brockport's men's 200 freestyle relay team set an Oneonta pool record during Saturday's dual meet against Oneonta.

Brockport's team of sophomore Nathan Dubois (Mendon, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima), junior Cody Burns (Kings Ferry, NY/Southern Cayuga), senior Josh Atzrott (Cheektowaga, NY/Cleveland) and senior Rob Cornish (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) broke the old Oneonta pool record and won the race in one minute, 30.93 seconds. The team was 5.37 seconds faster than the runner-ups.

The Golden Eagle men lost to Oneonta 135-107, while the women lost to Oneonta 136-70.

Dubois won the 50 freestyle (22.94) by 0.60 seconds, and also won the 100 free (50.28) for his fourth individual event victory of the weekend. He was honored on Monday as the SUNYAC's Men's Swimmer of the Week. 

Cornish won the 1,000 free in 10:39.72, out-swimming the field by more than 50 seconds to win.

For the Golden Eagle women, freshman Amy Jessmer (Albion, NY/Albion) and senior Jackie Rode (Hilton, NY/Hilton) finished 1-2 in the 100 breastroke, with Jessmer winning in 1:17.45.

Brockport's 200 free relay team of sophomore Sarah Eisenmenger (North Rose, NY/North Rose-Wolcott), freshman Paige Whitney (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford), freshman Liz Grillo (Rochester, NY/Rush Henrietta) and freshman Erin Luke (Latham, NY/Shaker) won in 1:48.65.

In diving, senior Maria Quagliana (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) captured the one-meter after scoring 266.15 points.

The SUNYAC championships run Feb, 8-12, 2011 at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center on the Erie Community College campus.
