Bobby Ross (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) scored twice in the first half to lead The College at Brockport Men's Soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Geneseo Saturday afternoon in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game in Geneseo.
Geneseo (6-5-4 Overall, 3- SUNYAC) scored first to take a 1-0 lead 16:24 into the contest but Ross answered less than six minutes later with a one-time volley off a pass from junior
Brian Duffy (Hilton, NY/Hilton).
Later in the first half, Ross struck again with a header off a headed pass from freshman
Dan Turchan (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown West) to put Brockport up 2-1.
In the second half, Brockport found the back of the net in the final minute of the game as freshman
Paul Altobelli (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) picked up a loose ball and fired a shot from 25 yard out for the added insurance goal for the Golden Eagles.
“It was a great team effort today,” said head coach
Gary LaPietra. “The team played tremendous all day and they played for one another today for the great team win.”

Kyle Sauln (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) made four saves in the Brockport goal.
