Austin, Dubois Lead the Way Against Potsdam

The Two Score A Combined 47 Points

Chris Austin Had Two Impressive Scores on the Diving Boards Saturday
RESULTS

Junior Nathan Dubois (Mendon, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) was the big winner for The College of Brockport Men's Swimming and Diving team on Saturday as they defeated Potsdam University 166-127. Senior Cody Burns (King Ferry, NY/Southern Cayuga) was victorious in two events.

Dubois started off his day by winning the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:52.09. His next victory came in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing at 49.66. Junior Joe Klafehn (Hilton, NY/Hilton) finished two seconds behind Dubois for second place, and Andy Chouinard (Watkins Glen, NY/Watkins Glen) helped sweep the top three spots in the event finishing third.

Dubois, Burns, and Klafehn teamed up in the final men's event, the 400-yard freestyle relay. The three, along with Kenny Smith (Rochester, NY/Eastridge), earned the Golden Eagles 11 points by finishing in first place with a time of 3:23.39. Burns also scored a victory in 100-yard backstroke.

Chris Austin (Middlesex, NY/Naples) had an impressive day on the diving board, boasting impressive scores on both the 1-meter diving and the 3-meter diving. On the 1-meter, Austin collected a score of 242.70 while he scored a 242.25 on the 3-meter.

 Kyle Bree (Newark, NY/Newark) also scored points for Brockport, scoring a victory in the 1000-yard freestyle. Dustin Wurster (Buffalo, NY/West Seneca West) captured a victory in the 50-yard freestyle.
