BOXSCORE

Freshman Tyler Marsh (Marathon, NY/Marathon) scored his first career goal for The College at Brockport Men's Soccer team leading the Golden Eagles to a 1-0 victory over RIT Saturday afternoon in the first round game of the Doug May Classic Tournament at Nazareth College.

Marsh scored with an assist from junior Marc Orlando (Cicero, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) after a throw-in by senior Brian Gildemeyer (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker). The goal came with less than five minutes remaining in the first half and the Golden Eagles (1-0) limited RIT (0-1) to just two second-half shots to preserve the victory.

Senior Kyle Sauln (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) made four saves to record the shutout victory for Brockport.

Brockport held an 11-6 advantage in shots including an 8-2 margin in the second half.
