Paul Altobelli (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) scored a first half goal and
Dom Kwiatkowski (Broadalbin, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) added a second-half insurance goal, his first of the season, to propel The College at Brockport Men's Soccer team to a 2-0 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victory over Geneseo Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles are now 4-1 in the SUNYAC, tied for second place in the conference.

Altobelli's fourth goal of the season came on an assist from
Kevin Dorn (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hallow Hills East). Dorn found Altobelli in a crowd in the Geneseo box who then fired a shot to the top right corner of the net. Dorn's assist was his first of the season and now leads the team with 11 points on the year. The Golden Eagles had five shots in the first half compared to Geneseo's seven.
The Golden Eagles offensive attack opened up in the second half. Brockport had three shots on net in a 10 second span in the early minutes of the second half.
Dan Turchan (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown West) fired the first shot that resulted in a save followed by Dorn and Altobelli back-to-back, yet the Golden Eagles failed to score.
Kwiatkowski found the back of the net at the 71:36 mark to put Brockport up 2-0. The freshman buried the goal with a header on a deep throw-in from
Bobby Ross. Sullivan made two saves in the final 10 minutes for Brockport to preserve the win.
