Sophomore Tyler Marlow (Palmyra, NY/Palmyra-Macedon) and junior Eliah Golding (Albany, NY/Colonie) each won matches with pins to lead The College at Brockport Wrestling team to a 32-12 victory over RIT Wednesday night at the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium in Brockport. The victory for Brockport (6-0) completed the first undefeated regular season since 2003.
 
In the first match of the night, Marlow used his second take down of the first period and rolled his opponent to his back to score the pin 1:57 into the bout to give Brockport the early 6-0 lead.
 
At 133, Brockport's Rocco Rosso (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) scored a 4-0 victory with a pair of reversals with one in each the second and third periods for the decision and a 9-0 Brockport advantage.
 
Golding gave Brockport the 15-0 lead with a pin in the 141-pound bout just 1:25 into the match. Similar to Marlow's match at 125-pounds, Golding used his advantage as a result of his second take down of the period to score the pin.
 
In the 149-pound match, sophomore Rob Troy (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) dominated the match with six take downs, a reversal and a near fall for an 18-5 major decision giving Brockport a 19-0 lead.
 
RIT (7-8) was awarded a forfeit victory at 157 pounds narrowing the overall score to 19-6 but senior Justin James (Spencerport, NY/Brockport) used a third period take down and a riding time advantage to secure a 6-4 decision at 165-pounds to give the Golden Eagles a 22-6 lead.
 
At 174 pounds, the Tigers scored their only victory of the night with a close match that ended with Nick Fuschino recording a pin at 6:41 and just 19 seconds remaining in the third period over Brockport's Clay Neivert (Ossining, NY/Ossining). Neivert held a 5-2 lead after one period and a 7-6 advantage heading into the third period.
 
Senior Wheeler Brunschmid (Sherburne, NY/Sherburne-Earlville) registered a 5-2 decision at 184 pounds after a take down in each of the first two periods and an escape point in the third with just five seconds remaining in the bout to secure the victory.
 
At 197 pounds, Paul Glover (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) recorded eight take downs for a 20-7 victory boosting Brockport's lead to 29-12.
 
In the final bout of the night, heavyweight John Wilkinson (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon) used an early take down to post an early lead and led 4-1 with the riding time advantage heading into the third period and went on to post a 6-2 win with a late take down to cap the Brockport 32-12 victory.
