Golden Eagles Beat Potsdam 158-131

Nik von Stackelberg and Austin Moyer each won three events

The Golden Eagles earned their second win of the season

Nik von Stackelberg (Alfred, NY/Aflred-Almond) and Austin Moyer (Newport News, VA/Woodside) each won three separate events to help The College at Brockport men's swimming and diving team earn a 158-131 win on the road at Potsdam on Saturday afternoon.

von Stackelberg had the first Golden Eagle victory of the day. He finished the 1000-yard freestyle in the top spot with a time of 10:34.26. He also came out on top in the 200-yard backstroke (2:02.02) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:06.82).

Moyer earned first place finishes in the 200-yard butterfly (2:04.55) and the 100-yard butterfly (55.58). He also earned a win with a time of 4:31.76 in the 400-yard IM.

For diving, Tyler Valenti (Pleasant Valley, NY/Arlington) recorded two wins. He scored 273 points for first place in the 3-meter dive and then 255.65 in the 1-meter dive.

The Golden Eagles return to action on the road again at 1:00 pm on Saturday at Oswego.
