Freshmen Austin Moyer (Newport News, VA./Woodside) and Nik vonStackleberg (Alfred, NY/Alfred-Almond) each earned three first place finishes but The College at Brockport men's swimming and diving team lost 151-131 in a close meet at Oswego on Saturday afternoon.
Moyer continued to look strong in the butterfly. He won both the 100-yard and 200-yard races with times of 55.22 and 2:11.69, respectively.
vonStackelberg took home first place in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:03.20. He earned himself another top spot in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:03.56.
Both Moyer and vonStackelberg joined Nathan Mart (Hanover, PA/Southwestern) and Dustin Wurster (Buffalo, NY/West Seneca West) in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The group finished in first place, clocking a time of 3:31.32.
Freshman Kevin Flynn (Glenmont, NY/Bethlehem) earned another first place finish for the Golden Eagles in the 200-yard IM. Flynn recorded a time of 2:23.71.
Tyler Valenti (Pleasant Valley, NY/Arlington) earned two first place finishes in diving. He scored 262.75 points in the 3-meter dive and then 263.35 in the 1-meter dive.
The Golden Eagles return to action on December 6 for the annual Fredonia Invitational held in Fredonia, NY. Times are still TBA.
