Brockport Shut Out 6-0 at Plattsburgh

Box Score The College at Brockport hockey team dropped a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) contest to a strong Plattsburgh team on Saturday night, falling 6-0 on the road.

Plattsburgh got things started quickly in the first period, scoring a goal just 5:02 into play.

Halfway through the period, the Cardinals added another goal, taking advantage of a power play.

In the second period, Plattsburgh extended its lead to three with a goal at 3:49. Brockport goalkeeper Jared Lockhurst (Caledon, ONT) made 13 saves, keeping the Cardinals from scoring for the remainder of the period.

Plattsburgh finished out the game with three goals in the final period.

The Cardinals strong defense and goalkeeping stifled the Brockport offense throughout the game.

Lockhurst finished the game with a total of 38 saves.

Brockport returns to action on Friday at 7:00 pm against Elmira for the first home game of the season at Tuttle North Ice Arena.
