The College at Brockport Men's Soccer team had more and a couple chances late in the second half and in the first overtime period but could not score against Geneseo as the teams played to a scoreless draw Saturday night in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game on Bob Boozer Field at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium in Brockport.

One of the best scoring chances for Brockport (7-1-5 Overall, 2-1-2 SUNYAC) came in the closing seconds of the second half as senior Kevin Dorn (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hallow Hills East) dribbled into the 18-yard box with 15 seconds on the clock and fired a hard shot toward the upper corner of the Geneseo (7-5-2, 2-2-1) goal but the ball deflected off the head of teammate Brandon Bianchi (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) and sailed wide of the goal as time expired in the second half.

The close call seemed to spark the Golden Eagles offense as Brockport controlled much of the play in the first overtime session. With 6:30 left, junior Patrick Sprague (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) had a shot from the top of the box off a corner kick that deflected off a Geneseo player and slid just wide of the goal.

A minute later, off another corner kick, junior Peter DiLorenzo (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville) took a header pass from fellow junior Collin Goettel (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) and drove a shot just over the cross bar.

In the second overtime period, Geneseo had a few scoring chances with the best coming in the final seconds as a shot from the top of the box was saved by junior goalkeeper Casey Sullivan (East Syracuse, NY/East Syracuse-Minoa) with a diving effort.

Sullivan finished with seven saves for the Golden Eagles as he recorded his sixth shutout of the season.
