Brockport Set to Host Multiple SUNYAC Playoff Events

The College at Brockport campus will host multiple State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Playoff events this week after both the men's soccer and women's volleyball teams excelled this season capturing top seeds within the SUNYAC.

Men's soccer will host SUNY Cortland on Wednesday in a rematch of last season's SUNYAC semifinal with one catch, the Golden Eagles are the higher seed in 2015 and won the privileges of hosting the Red Dragons. Brockport secured the No. 2 seed while Cortland finished third in conference and defeated Buffalo State this weekend to move onto the semifinal round. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 4 at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium.

Volleyball placed first in the SUNYAC standings on the season and will now host the entire SUNYAC tournament after finishing 9-0 during conference play this year. The tournament begins Friday Nov. 6 at 4 p.m. in the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium. The first Golden Eagle first match is on Saturday at 6 p.m. Brockport will face the winner of the No. 4 Oneonta and No. 5 Cortland match which is scheduled at 7 p.m. on Friday. The SUNYAC Volleyball Championship will be played on Sunday at noon.

Any fans that plan on attending are encouraged to purchase your tickets by clicking here ahead of time for the SUNYAC playoff games. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for children and free for SUNYAC students with valid identification as well as children five years or younger.
