OSWEGO, N.Y. – The College at Brockport Wrestling team defeated Oswego Wednesday 31-16 as the Golden Eagles scored seven victories in 10 total matches on the road with Jordan Dyer attaining a team-leading six points by pin.
125-lb (Brockport 5 – Oswego 0)
Asher Kramer won his match by a technical fall 18-3 score at the time of 6:19. Kramer cruised to an early 10-1 lead in the first period before closing things out in the final frame. He secured five points for Brockport.
133-lb (Brockport 8 – Oswego 0)
Eric Velez defeated his opponent with a close 5-1 decision as he utilized multiple take downs for four points. His victory gave the Golden Eagles an 8-0 score.
141-lb (Brockport 13 – Oswego 0)
Sean O'Hagan quickly made his presence felt as he returned to the Brockport lineup with a convincing technical fall 16-0 victory in just 3:36 wrestled. O'Hagan scored five more points for the Golden Eagles increasing the lead to 13-0.
149-lb ( Brockport 19 – Oswego 0)
Dyer had the quickest match of the night pinning his opponent in the first period, needing just 2:32 to finish the job in scoring Brockport the maximum amount of six points.
157-lb (Brockport 19 – Oswego 6)
Xavier Thomas fell in his match during the second period at 5:55.
165-lb (Brockport 23 – Oswego 6)
Michael Falcon scored a major decision victory by a score of 10-2, earning the Green and Gold four points.
174-lb (Brockport 23 – Oswego 10)
James Schreck fell in a 10-1 major decision.
184-lb (Brockport 28 – Oswego 10)
Jeff Palmeri continued his dominant senior season with a technical fall 16-0 at 3:28 pushing Brockport's lead up to 28-10.
197-lb (Brockport 28 – Oswego 16)
Brockport did not have anyone wrestle at the 197-lb weight class, forfeiting six points.
285-lb (Brockport 31 – Oswego 16)
In the heavyweight matchup, Cole Tristram closed out the Golden Eagles scoring with a 3-0 decision which also scored Brockport its final three points of the dual meet.
In an exhibition match at the 165-lb weight class Teddy Fleming scored an 11-5 decision victory.
