BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport women's swimming and diving team extended its win streak to three, with a 132-111 win over SUNY Oswego on Saturday afternoon in a State University of New York Athletic Conference matchup. The men suffered a loss of 141 to 102.
Dee Logory,
Martha Ruether,
Haley Brucato and
Holly Jackson teamed up for a second place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, touching in 1:58.28. Logory and Gleason took first and third in the 50-yard freestyle. Gleason finished first in 25.59, while Logory took third in 26.63.
Brockport also took first in the 200-yard freestyle relay behind Gleason, Rebekah Wilson,
Kaitlin Dunning and
Mary Jane Leja, finishing in 1:42.61.
In the 1,000-yard freestyle, Dunning finished in 11:38.53 for a first place finish. The freshman also took first in the 500-yard freestyle, touching in 5:40.73, more than 12 seconds ahead of the next competitor.
Mary Jane Leja tabbed two first place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle. Leja finished the 200-yard race in 2:02.44, and the 100-yard sprint in 54.42.
The Brockport women swept the podium in both the one-meter dive and three-meter dive behind strong performances from
Meghann Kilgallon,
Kate Nau,
Loren Sayers and
Brooke Leddon. In the one-meter, Kilgallon claimed first with a score of 257.30, Nau second with 220.90, and Sayers third with 216.95. In the three-meter, Sayers finished first with 221.85, Leddon second with 218.55, and Kilgallon third with 203.80.
In the men's 200-yard individual medley,
Austin Moyer took first, touching in 2:06.59. The junior also took second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.06.
The men took first in the 200-yard freestyle with
Liam Henry,
Eric Eggert,
Matthew O'Donnell and
Austin Moyer teaming up for a finish in 1:30.91.
Henry also tabbed a second place finish with a time of 22.68 in the 50-yard freestyle.
O'Donnell,
Chase Carson, Kyle Kelley, and Eggert teamed up for a second place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, touching in 1:45.15.
Gabe Arias and Matt Merchant took first and second in the one-meter dive with respective scores of 320.45 and 264.35. The duo also went one-two in the three-meter dive. Arias finished first with 312.25, and Merchant second with 245.25.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action again on Dec. 2 when they head to Fredonia, N.Y. for the Fredonia Invitational on Dec. 2 thru Dec. 4.
