OSWEGO, N.Y. – The College at Brockport men's and women's swimming and diving team dropped to Oswego State Saturday afternoon, with the men losing 194-72 and the women 173-111. The men's team fall to 0-5 on the 2017 season, where the women drop to 2-3.
Brandon Amthor was the first to claim a top spot for the men in the 200-yard freestyle, posting a time of 1.46.26. He was also notch a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 48.28.
Abby Tripp was a top finisher on the women's side claiming a first and second place finish. She placed first in the 100-yard fly posting a personal best by a time of 1:02.26, then claimed second in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.50.
Dee Logory had a strong outing for the Golden Eagles as she posted a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:04.08 and a third-place finish in the 50-yard free style with a time of 27.11.
Logan Gregory had two second place finishes for the Green and Gold one in the 100-yard backstroke (57.28) and the 100-yard fly (55.93).
Matthew O'Donnell tallied a second-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:14.15 and a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard back stroke in 1:00.39.
Martha Ruether had a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with the top time of 56.53. She was also a part of the 200-yard freestyle relay race that notched spot in 1:44.88.
The State University of New York Athletic Conference Diver of the Week,
Loren Sayers, claimed the top spot in both the one-meter dive (221.35) and the three-meter dive (239.00).
Kate Nau placed second in the three-meter dive with a score of 223.90 and third in the one-meter by a score of 218.65.
The Brockport swimming and diving team take some time off before they travel to Fredonia State on Dec. 1st for the Fredonia Invitational, with the meet set to start at 12 p.m.
