BROCKPORT, N.Y.- The College at Brockport men and women's swimming and diving team competed in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action against Buffalo State on Saturday afternoon. The women won in dominating fashion on senior day by a score of 160-56. The men dropped a close duel falling to the Bengals 167-132.

On the women's side
Jenna Gleason put together a solid meet winning the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.62. The sophomore also anchored the team that won the 200-yard medley relay, the the team consisted of
Dee Logory,
Martha Ruether and
Rebekah Wilkinson.
Kaitlin Dunning posted first place finishes in the 500-yard freestyle and the 1000-yard freestyle event for the Green and Gold. Ruether also posted a first place finish in the 200-yard breast stroke, and Wilkinson added a victory in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:07.74.

Mary Jane Leja recorded three first place finishes, winning the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.51, the 50-yard freestyle, and the 100-yard free style touching the wall in 52:58 more than three second faster than the finisher second place.

In the three meter diving event the Golden Eagles had the top three finishers,
Meghann Kilgallon finished in first place with a score of 250.60,
Kate Nau finished in second and
Brooke Leddon rounded out the top three.

On the men's side
Chase Carson won the 100-yard breast stroke finishing in a time of 1:05.29 and the sophomore also came in second in the 200-yard breast stroke.
Liam Henry won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 55.21, and posted second place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle.

Gabe Arias won both the one meter and three meter dive, posting scores of 277.80, and 306.90 respectively.
Matthew Merchant finished in second place in the one meter, and three meter dives, while
Chris Miller came in third in both events.

The men and women's swimming and diving team will return to action on Feb.15-16 competing in the SUNYAC Conference Championships, which are held in Buffalo.
