BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The 2017 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Region Teams were announced on Tuesday, with catcher
Paul Ludden earning a spot on the Second-Team.
Ludden earned All-SUNYAC honors for the second straight season, providing consistency for Brockport from both behind the plate and in the batter's box. The senior ranked in the top ten in the conference in a number of statistical categories, including hits (9th), on-base percentage (3rd), batting average (9th), HR (T-10th), RBI (T-10th), and hit-by-pitches (1st).
Ludden was a rock behind the plate, recording a team-high 142 putouts and adding 24 assists. During the week up to March 20, he was honored as both the SUNYAC and ECAC Player of the Week, boasting an .824 on-base percentage and leading the Golden Eagles to a 4-1 week.
