POTSDAM, N.Y.- The College at Brockport men's and women's swimming and diving teams swam against SUNY Potsdam on Saturday afternoon, where the men picked up a close win by a score of 154-143, while the women fell in a tight meet, 150-139.

The Golden Eagles put on impressive performances in both the men and women's events. The Bears put their best efforts forward to try to defeat the Green and Gold, using tech suits in today's meet that are normally saved for conference championships.

On the men's side,
Matthew Dambra,
Brandon Amthor,
Thomas Knack and
Chase Carson took first in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:44.94.

Logan Gregory secured a first-place finish in the 1000-yard Freestyle and the 200-yard Butterfly with times of 10:47.22 and 2:07.52. Gregory also tabbed a second-place finish in the 200-yard Backstroke with a time of 2:06.69.

Amthor finished first in the 200-yard Freestyle with a time of 1:48.92. and first in the 100-yard Butterfly tabbing a time of 54 seconds.

Knack and Chase finished two-three in the 100-yard Breastroke with times of 1:02.19 and 1:04.77

William Tolpa and
Rainer Grimme finished two-three in the 50-yard freestyle with times of 23.85 and 23.96.

Dambra took first in the 100-yard Freestyle tabbing a time of 50.80. and first in the 500-yard Freestyle with a time of 5:16.47.

In the 200-yard Breaststroke Knack took home a second-place finish tallying a time of 2:18.28. and grabbed a first-place finish in the 200-yard IM.

The foursome of Amthor, Carson, Gregory and Grimme took home a first-place finish in the 400-yard Freestyle relay with a time of 3:23.36.

On the boards
Matthew Merchant took home first in the one-meter dive with a score of 275.85, while
Mark Eaton took home second with a score of 219.15. The two also finished one-two in the 3-meter dive with Merchant tallying a score of 234.40 and Eaton taking a score of 238.25.

The women's team finished the afternoon with some top scorers in all categories as well. In the 400-yard medley relay,
Dee Logory,
Allison Morrow,
Alexa Callaghan and
Rebekah Wilkinson snagged second place with a time 4:20.49.

Kaitlyn Dunning took home first place in the 1000-yard Freestyle with a time of 11:49.80 and second in the 200-yard Freestyle tabbing a time of 2:06.77, while Wilkinson right behind her with a time of 2:10.90. Dunning also picked up a first place finish in the 500-yard Freestyle with a time of 5:49.35.

Meghan Bates finished one and three in the 100-yard Backstroke with times of 1:04.53 and 1:09.19. The two finished one and three in the 200-yard backstroke as well with times of 2:19.90 and 2:24.11

Morrow took home a second-place finish in the 100-yard Backstroke with a time of 1:15.68 and second in the 200-yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:50.29.

Haley Brucato picked up a second-place finish in the 200-yard Butterfly tabbing a time of 2:33.64.

Callaghan placed second in the 50-yard Freestyle with a final time of 26.54 and second in the 100-yard Freestyle with a time of 59.49. Teammate
Rebekah Wilkinson came in third in the 100-yard Freestyle with a time of 59.52.

Wilkinson and Brucato finished two-three in the 100-yard butterfly tallying times of 1:05.64 and 1:05.86.

Bates and Brucato finished one and three in the 200-yard IM with times of 2:27.30 and 2:33.73.

The Brockport foursome of Dunning, Logory, Callaghan and Morrow took first in the 400-yard Freestyle relay with a final time of 3:57.00, while the other Brockport foursome of Leddon, Brucato, Bates and Jannsen took third with a time of 4:14.80

Loren Sayers took first in the three-meter dive with a score of 258.50 and
Brooke Leddon snagged second with a final score of 210.95.

In the one-meter dive Leddon took first-place with a score of 241.40 and Sayers took second with a score of 226.20
