Brockport, NY – The College at Brockport men's soccer team will host a pair of SUNYAC contests this weekend. The team faces Buffalo St. on Friday at 4 pm before welcoming Fredonia on Saturday for a 1 pm start.
Senior Day: This Saturday the Golden Eagles will be holding their senior day ceremony to honor the 10 seniors on this year's team. Prior to the game each player will be recognized on the field to congratulate and thank them for what they have contributed to the program and the school. The class of 2020 includes

Last Time Out: Brockport fell to Plattsburgh at home in its last match, 1-0, with the lone goal coming late in the second half. The Green and Gold outshot the visiting Cardinals 16-6 in the team's only loss at home this year. Brockport's record fell to 6-5-1 overall and 1-3 in conference play after the weekend.
Team Leaders: Sophomore
Matthew Stefaniw leads the way for the team with 17 total points, on six goals and five assists. His production so far this season has him ranked top 10 in the conference for all three offensive categories.
Jeff Hibbard,
Jason Hayes, and
Zach Langelotti all have totaled at least 10 points so far this season as well.
Goalkeepers: Tautis Poniskaitis has been the main stopper in net for Brockport, with
Joseph Romano getting some action lately as well. Poniskaitis has made 28 saves in 10 starts for the team and has one shutout to his credit. Romano has appeared in five games, with two starts in net, on his way to collecting eight saves and a shutout of his own.
Protecting the Nest: The Golden Eagles are 4-1 at home this season and have defending their home field in dominating fashion. In home matches, the team is outscoring opponents 18-4 and have scored five goals on three separate occasions. With just one more home game left on the schedule after the upcoming weekend, the Golden Eagles are looking to take care of business for some crucial conference contests.
Scouting Buffalo St: The Bengals are currently 9-2 overall and hold a 2-2 record inside the SUNYAC. Outscoring opponents 38-6 on the year, Buffalo St. is proven to have a highly productive offensive attack. The team is averaging over three goals per game, with its leading scorer Theo Pencic notching 12 on the season. After losing to Oneonta, 1-0, in overtime in its last game, Buffalo St. is looking to bounce back and improve on its .500 record against SUNYAC foes.
Scouting Fredonia: Fredonia is 5-6-2 overall and are even with Brockport at 1-3 in the conference thus far. The team defeated Alfred University, 2-0, in the last game to snap a two-game losing skid. The Blue Devils are 2-1-1 on the road this season and will come up against Geneseo on Friday before Saturday's tilt with Brockport. Jackson Retzer is the leading scorer for the team, tallying 10 points on five goals this year.
Up Next: The Golden Eagles hit the road following this weekend's set of games, as they travel to face Oneonta and New Paltz next weekend. Friday's meeting with Oneonta will begin at 3 pm, while the team will face New Paltz at 1 pm on Saturday.
