BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport swim and dive teams will be heading to Potsdam to face their first SUNYAC opponent of the season, this Saturday at 2 p.m.
Both the men and women's teams are coming off strong victories against Monroe Community College. The men's and women's team capped off a strong day collectively, securing a win in 22 out of 26 events for a total 153-83 win and 156-42 win respectively.
Notable finishers included
Nicole Orcutt in the 200-yard butterfly,
Matthew Dambra in the 100-yard freestyle,
Hailey Rossi in the 200-yard breaststroke,
Kaitlin Dunning in the 500-yard freestyle,
Dee Logory in the 200-yard backstroke, and
Oliver Dragojevic in the 200-yard breaststroke. Each athlete brought home a first-place finish in their respective events. Both the men and women's 200-yard medley teams both posted first-place finishes as well.
On the diving side,
Alexiana Foster recorded a first-place finish in the 1-meter dive, and
Loren Sayers finished top of the leaderboard in the 3-meter dive.
In the 2018 season, the women's team picked up a tough 150-139 loss to the Bears and the men's team recorded their second win of the season, 154-143.
The Golden Eagles enter the weekend against a Potsdam women's team who is currently 1-1 overall, coming off a win against Norwich, and a men's team who has yet to record a win, sitting at 0-2 thus far.
Following this weekend, the Green and Gold will go on a short hiatus before facing another SUNYAC opponent in Oswego State, taking place on Saturday, November 23 at 1 p.m.
