BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport swimming and diving teams capped off a successful afternoon with a pair of wins over Oneonta for the first time in the last 10 years. The men's team posted a 160-136 finish and the women's team a dominating 179-116 finish.
Men's Highlights:
- The men's 200-yard medley relay team of Logan Gregory, Oliver Dragojevic, William Tolpa and Matthew Dambra, opened up the day with a first-place finish, clocked at 1:41.96.
- Each of the swimmers then went on to have success of their own.
- Dambra followed that up with a second-place individual finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:49.00.
- Gregory added a strong individual finish as well in the 100-yard backstroke, notching first overall with a time of 55.67.
- Dragojevic and Jerome Gordon were a dynamic duo for the Green and Gold in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing first and second respectively, clocked at 1:04.04 and 1:05.60.
- Tolpa (23.58) and Rainer Grimme (23.88) topped the leaderboard in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing second and third overall.
- Mark Eaton and Randy Beach dominated the 1-meter and 3-meter diving category, taking first and second-place in both events. Eaton finished first in both with a final score of 270.30 and 279.73. Beach followed it up in second place with a final score of 246.15 and 265.73.
- Dambra and Tolpa then combined for two strong finishes in the 100-yard freestyle, securing first and second-place, clocked at 49.65 and 53.02 respectively.
- Gregory picked up his third first-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:05.91.
- Dragojevic and Gordon gave it the old one-punch in the 200-yard breaststroke as well; Dragojevic in first with a time of 2:22.79 and Gordon in second with a time of 2:26.19.
- Dambra put up his third top finish of the day in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing second overall with a time of 5:20.01.
- Gregory rounded out and overall successful day in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing first with a time of 54.80 followed by teammate Grimme in third with a time of 1:00.62.
- The men's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Tolpa, Zack Kime, Grimme and Dragojevic closed out the day with a second-place finish with a time of 3:32.58.
Women's Highlights:
- The women's 200-yard medley relay team of Dee Logory, Allison Morrow, Bri Owen and Rebekah Wilkinson took home second-place to start the day, clocked at 1:57.40.
- Nicole Orcutt then added a first-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle where she posted a time of 11:33.74.
- Kaitlin Dunning and Sawyer Parker tag teamed for second and third in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing at 2:04.68 and 2:06.63.
- Logory and Sarah Mullane then did the same for the Golden Eagles in the 100-yard backstroke; Lorgory with a second-place time of 1:05.77 and Mullane with a third-place time of 1:07.22.
- Morrow picked up a solo top finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, timed at 1:13.24 for a second-place mark.
- The Golden Eagles almost swept the 200-yard butterfly, bringing home first, second and third-place. Orcutt finished first with a time of 2:25.28, Owen in second with a time of 2:31.02 and Wilkinson in third with a time of 2:34.28.
- Dunning and Hailey Rossi secured first and second-place in the 50-yard freestyle, marked at 25.85 and 25.98 respectively.
- The women's team dominated on the diving board as well, with Alexiana Foster and Sami Cohen leading the way. Foster grabbed first-place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dive with scores of 245.17 and 232.94. Cohen followed that up in second with a 168.60 and 162.45.
- Dunning and Rossi shined again in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing in first and second with times of 56.48 and 57.52.
- Logory and Parker were the breadwinners in the 200-yard backstroke, Logory in first with a time of 2:20.43 and Parker in third with a time of 2:23.10.
- Morrow picked up her second successful finish of the day in the 200-yard breaststroke with a second-place time of 2:40.64.
- Orcutt then followed with her final individual finish of the day in the 500-yard freestyle with a first-place time of 5:32.18.
- Rossi, Owen and Wilkinson were the one, two, three in the 100-yard butterfly, clocking in at 1:02.86, 1:03.58 and 1:05.02.
- Morrow and Haley Brucato closed out the individual events with a first and second-place finish in the 200-yard IM, with times of 2:24.75 and 2:28.08.
- The women's two 400-yard freestyle relay teams sealed the deal on the team's win, grabbing the first and second-place leaderboard spot. The team of Orcutt, Parker, Rossi and Dunning finished first with a time of 3:52.02 followed by Wiklinson, Owen, Mullane and Logory in second with a time of 4:00.50.
What's Next: The Golden Eagles will be back in action at home this Wednesday for a non-conference dual meet with Nazareth College starting at 5 p.m.
